IN VITRO CYTOTOXIC ASSESSMENT OF CHITOSAN OLIGOSACCHARIDE LACTATE ON HUMAN BLOOD AND LYMPHOCYTE CELLS

نویسندگان

چکیده

Chitosan oligosaccharides (ChOSs) are the reduced products of chitosan prepared by chemical or enzymatic hydrolysis. The greater solubility and low viscosity ChOSs interest. present study was first to evaluate toxicity oligosaccharide lactate (ChOSlac) in human blood. For this purpose, possible oxidative effects ChOSlac whole blood (hWB) cell viability membrane integrity on lymphocytes (LYMs) were evaluated dose range 10-400 μg/ml for 24 48 hours treatments. Firstly, total antioxidant status (TAS), oxidant (TOS), stress index (OSI) used measure damage hWB serum. Secondly, cytological using 2.3-bis-(2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl)-2H tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide inner salt (XTT) dehydrogenase (LDH) assays LYMs. Exposure cells 10-200 doses caused an increase activity a decrease but did not affect cytotoxicity. Conversely, 400 µg/ml relative LDH leakage decreased viability. In summary, has been positively at specific exposure times terms health as contribution its use many areas such being biocompatible, biodegradable, drug carrier molecule.

In vitro assessment of alendronate toxic and apoptotic effects on human dental pulp stem cells

Objective(s): Osteonecrosis of the jaw, as an exposed necrotic bone in the oral cavity, is one of the adverse effects of bisphosphonates, which have an affinity for bone minerals. This study investigates the cytotoxic effects of alendronate (ALN) as a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate, on human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs). Materials and Methods: The mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), obtained ...

Radioadaptive Response in Human Lymphocyte Cells

The adaptive response (AR) is a phenomenon by which cells exposure to sublethal doses of DNA-damaging agents (non-mutagenic dose of chemical or radiation), known as conditioning treatment (CT), leads to increased resistance to a subsequent exposure to a higher dose of the same or other agents, known as challenge treatment (CR). The adaptive response (AR) induced by radiation in human lymphocyte...

In vitro toxicological assessment of MgO and Silica Nanoparticle in human colon carcinoma cells

The use of nanoparticles (NPs) has been extended to many fields such as agriculture, food industry, medicine and biotechnological fields. Thereby, human exposure to NPs consequently increases. Therefore, there is a concern about the potential biological effects and toxicity of NPs for humans and the environment. This study aimed to investigate the cytotoxicity effects of magnesium oxide (MgO) a...
